STIGA RM Group continues to set records – turnover exceeds EUR 114 million in 2025
In 2025, STIGA RM, one of the leading timber companies in Latvia, and its five affiliated group companies* continued to deliver historically high turnover results, achieving consolidated turnover of EUR 114.8 million, up 18.7% compared to the previous year. The financial results confirm stable profitability and an effective operating model despite particularly challenging global market conditions, which resulted in pricing pressure across the product and by-product categories offered by STIGA RM.
“The turnover results of the past year confirm that the strategic goals set in recent years – investing in the production of high value-added products – have delivered strong performance again this year. Despite uncertainty in global markets, STIGA RM continues to purposefully pursue long-term competitiveness, technological development, and a sustainable industry leadership position. We see that significant investments and the persistent efforts of the STIGA RM team continue to bear fruit. This year, we will also continue investments in IT, as data-driven decision-making is an essential component of rapid growth in a highly competitive environment,” says Andris Ramoliņš, Owner and Chairman of the Board of STIGA RM.
The implementation of various IT solutions enables data collection across all production processes. By analysing the collected data, STIGA RM has been able to improve its product portfolio, enhance the efficiency of forestry and logistics operations, identify and reduce unnecessary costs, and increase productivity in manufacturing processes.
Highlights of the Year 2026 – Kuldīga, Tukums and Ogre
At the beginning of 2026, the company plans to commission its new plywood further-processing mill in Kuldīga. By the end of this year, state-of-the-art automated production equipment worth nearly EUR 5 million will be installed in the new facility. The further-processing mill will significantly increase the value of products manufactured at the existing birch plywood production facility by 50–70% and will create 16 new jobs in the region.
This year, STIGA RM’s Wood Wool Cement Board (WWCB) mill in Tukums will also begin operations and will become the most advanced WWCB mill in the world. Once opened, the factory complex, covering 80,000 square metres, will create nearly 100 new jobs and produce high value-added wood products primarily for export markets, significantly expanding STIGA RM’s product portfolio.
The Tukums WWCB mill is already operating in test mode, and the quality of the first panels fully meets the company’s quality standards. Despite operating in test mode, the new product has already attracted strong interest from customers across Europe, and Stiga RM has signed its first supply contracts.
In the second half of 2026, STIGA RM plans to complete Phase 1 of construction of its large-format and non-standard birch plywood mill in Ogre, which will be one of the most modern plywood production facilities in Northern Europe. This project will also create 50 new jobs in the region.
