1.2. This Cookie Policy provides information on the types of cookies used on Stiga RM’s websites, the purposes for which they are used, and users’ rights regarding the use of cookies in accordance with their needs and interests.
1.3. Stiga RM uses its own and third-party cookies to improve the user experience on the website, ensure the website’s operation, security, and functionality, etc.
2. Information about cookies, their purpose, and the legal basis for their use
2.1. Cookies are small text files that a web browser (such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) creates and stores on the user’s device (e.g., a computer, smartphone or tablet) when the user visits a website, in order to identify the browser or to store information or settings within the browser. Consequently, with the help of cookies, the website is able to save the user’s individual settings, recognise the user, and respond accordingly. Cookies enable a website to ‘remember’ a user’s actions and preferences (such as language settings), thereby improving the website’s performance and user experience. They can help to retain information entered by the user or analyse which sections of the website are visited most frequently.
2.2. Cookies are used to analyse and aggregate user behaviour and website usage history, diagnose problems and shortcomings in the website’s operation, collect statistics on user behaviour, and ensure that the website’s functionality can be used fully and conveniently.
2.3. The Stiga RM websites use several types of cookies (persistent and session cookies). Depending on the functions to be performed and the purpose of use, Stiga RM uses the following cookies:
- necessary or essential cookies ensure the basic functions and secure operation of the website. As these cookies are essential for the correct functioning of the website, they cannot be switched off. The user’s consent to their use is not required, as they guarantee basic functionality and ensure the website operates without disruption;
- functional and analytical cookies are only used with the user’s explicit consent, which is obtained via the cookie notification banner when visiting the website. Consent is requested in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation. The user may choose to consent to all or only certain categories of cookies.
2.4. Use of cookies by type:
- necessary or essential cookies are required to enable the user to make full use of the website. These cookies ensure the smooth operation and browsing of the website, as well as the full use of the features offered on the website, for example, to obtain information about services and products. These cookies are also necessary for the website to remember which cookies the user has consented to. These cookies are stored on the user’s device until the cookie has fulfilled its purpose, but for no longer than one year;
- functional cookies provide an enhanced and personalised website experience, and help users make effective and personalised use of its features. Functional cookies respect the user’s preferences and provide personalised features (such as language and region), as well as other additional features that are not essential to the basic functioning of the website;
- analytical cookies are used to obtain information about the use of the website and user interaction with its content. Data such as IP addresses, cookies or other online identifiers, information about the device and browser, pages visited, user actions, and sessions may be processed, depending on the analytics tool used.

3.2. On all Stiga RM websites, essential cookies are used by default, without the user’s consent, as they ensure the website’s functionality and secure operation. Before using any other categories of cookies (functional, analytical), Stiga RM obtains the user’s consent. The user may consent to all types of cookies or only to some of them.
3.3. In the cookie notice window, the user has the option to:
- consent to the activation of all cookies by clicking on “Accept all”;
- customise their preferences for the types of cookies that are permitted by clicking on “Customise”;
- reject the activation of all optional cookie types by clicking on “Only necessary”.
3.4. By clicking “Accept all”, “Only necessary” or “Customise”, the user confirms that they have read the Cookie Policy, including information about cookies (how they are used, the purposes for which they are used, the involvement of third parties, etc.), and that they have agreed to the relevant cookie settings.
3.5. Users can change their preferences at any time and opt out of non-essential or optional cookies by adjusting their cookie settings. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of that person’s personal data carried out prior to the withdrawal of consent. Once consent has been withdrawn, Stiga RM will cease using the relevant non-essential cookies in accordance with the user’s new choice.
4. Final provisions
